Championing Maternal and Infant Health Initiatives

At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to advocating for the well-being of our communities. Our Executive Director, Sabrina Luvene, is at the forefront of these efforts, working tirelessly to bring about positive change.

Recently, Sabrina had the honor of meeting with Lieutenant Governor Gilchrist to discuss the substantial $26 million allocated to Maternal and Infant Health initiatives. This significant investment underscores the state’s dedication to improving the health outcomes of mothers and infants, and Sabrina seized the opportunity to advocate for additional resources to support our underserved communities. It’s truly inspiring to witness our state leaders’ commitment to making a tangible difference.

In addition to her work on health initiatives, Sabrina also voiced her support for a new pilot housing program aimed at providing affordable, safe living options for Detroit’s low-income residents. Secure housing is more than just a basic need; it’s a cornerstone of thriving communities. With stable and safe housing, families can focus on building a better future. We are incredibly proud to have Sabrina championing this cause, tirelessly advocating for the well-being of our community members.

Sabrina’s dedication to these pivotal issues is a testament to our organization’s mission of creating a better, more equitable future for all. Her efforts, combined with the support of state leaders and community members, are paving the way for meaningful change.

Thank you for standing with us in these endeavors. Together, we can continue to advocate for the resources and support our communities need to thrive.
